·         Sat. June 16; 10am-3pm; Picnic, boating, & hiking at Bartram’s Garden –meet at 3722 Baring St… OR …. CVS at 43rd & Locust; This is the first professional garden built in the U.S. after Europeans arrived.  It is in W. Philadelphia only a few minutes from U. of Penn and Drexel.  We will stroll around the gardens, eat lunch together, and take a 30 min. free ride on a row boat or a Kayak (you will paddle the kayak by yourself) – bring your own picnic lunch –.. July 21; 3:30-11pm; - Longwood Gardens outdoor & indoor gardens and fountain show: More than 1,000 acres of outdoor gardens & indoor gardens of various climates & lighted, animated fountains at 9:15. Bring your own picnic dinner. Ski Trip

Sat. 2/18 9:30am-9:00pm Ski Trip in Poconos (Blue Mountain)  
A Chance to enjoy the snow and various snow sports What to bring: warm pants, warm jacket, winter hat and mittens (gloves may not be warm enough)… bag lunch or extra money for lunch (or at least money for the warm, delicious and traditional hot chocolate!) and possible dinner on the way home · Money for lift ticket, lessons and or rentals
WHERE: leave University City (308 N 37th St) at 9:30 am and return about 9:00 pm; Blue Mountain Ski Area 1660 Blue Mountain DR Danielsville, PA 18038. About 1 hour and 45 minutes from Philadelphia. Carpooling will be arranged Meet at 308 N. 37th St.   We will drive you to your home when we return.
COSTS: It might be best not to buy tickets on line at the Blue Mountain website in case of possible cancellation.  Instead, please bring money to buy tickets, etc. at the mountain so not to risk losing your money. The cost depends on certain factors:  8 hour ticket $70 (click here), Click here for equipment rentals costs, if you never skied before you can get ticket, lessons and equipment for $95 (Click here for details).
